Carlton Clinger Aged 85, Is Dead
 
Carlton C. Clinger, 85 died at his home, 141 River Street at 8:30 o'clock Wednesday morning following a week's illness.

He was born at Walnut Bend March 3, 1863 a son of the late George and Kathryn Taylor Clinger.  He was married to Miss Jessie Krug in Oil City on June 2, 1897 and has resided in Oil City since that time.

He was employed in the construction department of the Oil Well Supply Co. for many years and was retired several years ago.  He was a member of the First Presbyterian Church and the Old Guards.   Surviving are the wife and the following children:  George C. Clinger of Arcadia, California, Mrs. Henry F. Lenser and Mrs. Arnold Orcutt of Oil City; two grandchildren, Lois Lenser of Oil City and Jack Lenser of Flint, Michigan, one sister, Mrs. Anna Tuttle of Oil City.  The body is at the family home.

Funeral Services for Carlton C. Clinger of 141 River St. were held at 2:30 PM Friday , in the family home with Rev. Norman R. Adams, pastor of the First Presbyterian Church officiating.   During the services he read "Abide With Me" and "Crossing the Bar".

Interment was in Grove Hill Cemetery with the following pallbearers: Arthur and Glenn Clinger, Charles Brumbaugh, Harold Miller, Earl Krug and Jack Wolcott.   Those who attended from out of town included: Jack Lenser of Flint, Mich. ; Mr. and Mrs. Harold Miller and Mrs. Joseph Donaghy of Buffalo, N. Y.; Mr. and Mrs. William Kightlinger of Warren, Mrs. Jack Covert of Kane; Mr. and Mrs. Ray Wolcott of Warsaw, N. Y.; and Mrs. Roger Yaple of Johnsonburg.
