Elsie Bolton McGee, age 89, of Beaufont Healthcare Center, died Tuesday, October 9, 2001.
Mrs. McGee was born in 1912 in Richmond to the late Benjamin and Annie Bolton. She was preceded in death by her husband, Lucian Shaw "Mac" McGee in 1999, as well as four sisters and one brother. After her marriage Mrs. McGee and her husband lived in several different locales. Mr. McGee's position as a Woolworth's manager often involved a transfer to a new city. Upon his retirement they returned to Richmond to be closer to family.
Mrs. McGee is survived by her daughter, Patricia of Newark, Del.; her son, William of Charlotte, N.C.; her grandson, Eric and his wife, Renee also of Charlotte; her sister, Lillie R. Brooks of Richmond; and several nieces and nephews. Graveside services will be held 10 a.m. Thursday at Forest Lawn Cemetery. Parham Chapel, Woody Funeral Home, assisting family with arrangements.
