Joseph Stultz Bourne was born to John Davis Bourne and Nancy Higbee in Jessamine County Kentucky. He moved with his family to Missouri and later as an adult moved to Washington state. He is the cousin of my Great Grandfather John Bourne Morton buried in Pullman, Washington.

Joseph Bourne came to Whitman County in 1878 and located
on a homestead 2 miles south of Rosalia. He lived there until he died in Oct. 1896.
