Married.On Tuesday evening, May 10, at the home of the bride's parents near the city, occurred the marriage of Chan. Johnson and Miss Lula Miller, Rev. W. S. Forman, of this city, officiating in the presence of the immediate relatives of the families.Both of these young people are well known to our readers. Both were born and reared in Scotland County and are among our most estimable young people. Their many friend join with the REVEILLE in extending congratulations and well wishes. Chan Johnson Dies At Home In North MemphisChandler A. "Chan" Johnson died at his home in Memphis, Wednesday, Sept. 29, 1954, after an illness of several months.He was born at Hitt, Mo., Nov. 11, 1879, the son A. W. Johnson and Lucy Frances (Bourn) Johnson.He was married to Lulu Bell Miller of Memphis, May 10, 1904. To this union two sons were born, William S. Johnson, Kansas City, Mo., and Chan Miller Johnson, Seattle, Washington.Mr. and Mrs. Johnson celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary May 10, 1964.Mr. Johnson was a brother the late Dr. Fred M. Johnson of Gorin. He is survived by his wife, two sons and four grandchildren, Stanley Johnson, Kansas City, Mo., Shirley Ann Johnson, Quincy, Ill., Chan Allen Johnson and Deanne Elizabeth Johnson, of Seattle, Wash.Funeral services will be held from Payne's funeral parlors at 1 p. m.
