Note: Because no stone could be found for Elizabeth, burial here in Ancient Cemetery can probably never be proven but this cemetery was only two or three blocks from her home on Post Hill near the corner of Williams and Vauxhall streets in New London. While they might be buried elsewhere, William and Elizabeth's memorials have been added here as the most logical and probable place of burial rather than just "Unknown".
Her surname has been variously listed as both Daniel and Daniels. She was the daughter of Henry Daniel who was born about 1582 in Much Hadham, Hertford, England. He was a son of John Daniel and Elizabeth Pebite.
Elizabeth married William Comstock in England about 1623. Their marriage was blessed with six children.
She died in New London sometime after 1665.
Through her son John, the 38th U.S. President, Gerald R. Ford, was a descendant of Elizabeth.
