At Bartibog, on Thursday, the 11th instant, after a short but severe illness, lieutenant Colonel Alexander McDonald, in the 72nd year of his age. Mr. McDonald was a native of Argylshire (Scotland), and came to Miramichi in the year 1784. He was universally respected while living, and his memory will be long cherished by his numerous family and friends. - Obituary
