I was in company with Robert Glidewell on Raccoon in Parke County between the years 1827 and 1831 we went to the house of Mrs. Nelson and he went with me to old Mr. Hausel’s. There the said Nelson paid said Glidewell a considerable sum of money for a ?? of said in that neighborhood as I understood by the parties. I heard Mr. Hausel tell said Glidewell that the money must be paid now be Glidewell had said the …., I understood by the conversation between the persons present that Hausel had mortgage or claim on the …Glidewell was selling to Nelson the money I think was paid to Hausel so far as the amount of the mortgage …by plaintiff - what would be your impression from the …and ….of Mr. David Hausel in relation to any moneys that might be our him at that time from the said Glidewell. Answer - I do not know that his name was David. There was no settlement made between Glidewell and Hausel further than the payment of the mortgage so far as I now remember.
