Original emigrant, Richard Smith, born in Leicester, England. Richard married Rebecca Buswell on 13 Feb 1614/15. Thus we can trace William Henry Lee’s roots to his 3x maternal grandmother Rebecca, born in 1593 Leicester, England. She died 74 years later in 1667 in Wethersfield, Hartford Co., CT.

Rebecca Buswell was the daughter of Roger and Margaret Buswell, William Henry Lee’s 4x grandparents, who were married about 1571 in Bosworth, Leichester, England. Roger born about 1546 in Bosworth, Leichester, England and died on 14 Jun 1609 in about age 63 in the same location.
