Martha Cravens is also my great great grandmother.Some information I've found through Lewis Co. MO records,and some through internet searches. I have not confirmed any of the data.My records show the following;
Martha Ann "Patsy" Cravens m. George Washington Jenkins 23 May 1839 Bardstown, Nelson Co., KY
Martha's Parents;
Mary Carlisle (Carlyle) m. John C. Cravens 1 Jan 1790 Loudon Co. VA
Mary's parents;
John Carlyle b. 6 Feb 1720 Carlisle, Cumbria, England
d. 1780 Fairfax VA
Sybil West, Daughter of Hugh West
If you look up the Carlyle family connection, you'll find lots of info.
(Note: Have found no evidence for this, her father's name was David.)
Martha Ann and George Washington Jenkins had the following children;
William Norris, John Cravens, Franklin Jeremiah, Priscilla Ann, James Howard, George Washington, Charles, David, Wesley, Mary
George Washington Jenkins parents; Priscilla B. Hoskins & William Norris Jenkins - that's as far back as I have on the Jenkins line. I am a descendant of George Washington Jenkins jr.
