Description:
Frederick Philipse, the executor of John Leggett's will, was at this time the wealthiest citizen on the continent, and one of the most distinguished citizens of the Province of New York. John Leggett in his will also mentions his son John, and his wife Anne. He would leave his son John in the care of Phillipse, and also leave his son half of his ketch, the "Royal."
