"Requiem Mass on Saturday. Requiem Mass Sung Saturday for Mrs. Mary McGinnis".

Requiem mass was sung Saturday morning for Mrs. Mary Ellen McGinnis, who passed away Thursday morning, by Rev. Fr. Madigan, assisted by Rev. Fr. Burke of Everett, at St. Cecelia's Catholic Church at East Stanwood. Mrs. Annie Weinman sang "Ave Maria" accompanied on the organ by Mrs. John Bagnell and violin by Mrs. George Gagner of Seattle. Mrs. Bagnell and Mrs. Gagner accompanied the choir throughout the singing of the hymns of the Virgin.

Interment was held in the Florence cemetery under the direction of Henry Dunham of Mount Vernon. The pall bearers were Ed. O'Melia, S.A. Satrum, Dan McDonald, Peter Carlson, William McDougal and Alva Gore. Flowers in profusion, bearing mute testimony of the esteem held for Mrs. McGinnis, were brought to the home and surrounded the brier. The body lay in state at the home during the interval between her passing away and the services.

Mrs. M.E. McGinnis, was 68 years years old. She was born in Manitowoc, Wisconsin, and has lived in the Florence community for thirty-nine years. Fourteen years ago Mr. McGinnis passed away. She leaves to mourn her loss one daughter, Mrs. Charles Jones, three sons, James, John and Thomas and daughter-in-law, Mrs. Thomas McGinnis. Three grandchildren, Thomas McGinnis, Juanita and Franklin Jones, three sisters, Mrs. Hugh P. McGinnis of Florence and the two other in the East, also two brothers residing in the East. Those coming up from Seattle to attend the funeral services werre Mrs. Sarah Fitzpatrick, Mrs. and Mrs. George Gagner, Mrs. John Bagnell, Miss Marie McAteer, Arthur McGinnis, Mrs. Mamie Edgar, Mr. and Mrs. Hugh McGinnis, and Mr. and Mrs. Arthur McGinnis. Those motoring up from Newberg, Oregon were Mr. and Mrs. Alva Gore and Mrs. Frazier. From Arlington were Mr. and Mrs. Georger Heuser, Henry Sloman and mother and Mrs. Herman Romer.
