Jeremy Adams was one of the founding members of Hartford, Connecticut, and was official constable and inn-keeper of the colony. His inn was used for meetings of the legislative body of the colony, on what is now mainstreet in Hartford. A ridge called "Jeremy's Black" and a river "Jeremy's River" are both named after him.
