Ambrose Tompkins - 1860 United States Federal Census

residence

Bourbon Township, Boone, Missouri, USA ⇓
Living with him are a Frances Sims, aged 52 born in Kentucky, and a James Kennon, age 20 and born in Missouri. A few houses away, at the top of the page, is a John C Tompkins also born in Kentucky. Ambrose is a farmer. In 1850, Frances Sims was living in Audrain Co., MO, with her husband, whose initial is W. They have a son named Ambrose. They also have a son named William, which was probably what France's husband's name was.

death

Missouri, USA ⇓
In 1870 his daughter Frances is living with another relative. It appears she might have had a younger sister Lucy. They are staying with a Lucinda Snell, aged 63, born in Virginia, some Brechbills, a 9 year old girl named Lucy Calbreath, and a 16 year old girl named Amanda Brooks. Neither of the parents I can find. Later, in 1880, they are listed as the daughters of Brechvill (or Brechbill.)
