Chaffee (Chaffee No. 71)* (both of Woodstock), b. Woodstock May 6th 1743, daughter of James Chaffee and his first wife Beriah Hayden. The autographs of Henry J. Franklin (5) and his daughter Dorothy Franklin appear in Matthew Bowen's Account Book. Henry was in the 4th Conn. Regt. in 1779 in Revolutionary War.

ALL CHILDREN BUT OLDEST BORN IN WOODSTOCK:

18. Lotheta b. Oct 18 1767, d. Woodstock June 28th 1814, m. as his first wife Walter Tucker...

Note:
The Henry J. Franklin who married Mary Williams and the Henry J. Franklin who married Dorothy Chaffee are not the same. The book acknowledges only the oldest child of Henry J. and Mary, their daughter Mary born 1765, when they continued having children (and in Amherst, Massachusetts, not Pomfret), Sophie, Elizabeth, Persis, and Francis, the youngest Sophia being born in 1778.

However, since the Henry J. Franklin who married Dorothy Chaffee was of Connecticut, the military record is most likely accurate.
This questions his father as being listed as Benjamin, however there was a Benjamin Franklin born in Woodstock on Dec 30 1716:
