Madeline Johnson, 87 of Clinton, MO, formerly of Blue Springs, died Nov. 28, 1997, at Westwood Nursing Center in Clinton.
Mrs. Johnson was born March 31, 1910, in Lawson, MO, and lived in Kansas City prior to moving to Blue Springs in 1970.
She was a supervisor in the Foreign Billing Office at AT&T, retiring in 1975 after 25 years of service, and was a member of the AT&T Pioneers.
She was a member of the Chapel Hill Presbyterian Church.
She was a member of The Pilot Club of Blue Springs, Blue Springs Museum Society and volunteered at the Community Services League and the Blue Springs Blood Bank. She won the Heart of Gold award from the Blue Springs Chamber of Commerce in 1996.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 56 years, William S. Johnson, Sr., June 26, 1984.
Her survivors include a son, Stan Johnson of Clinton, MO; two brothers, Paul Ford of Excelsior Springs, MO; and John Ford of Kansas City; three grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Services are Tuesday at D.W. Newcomer's Sons Blue Springs Chapel. Burial will be in Lawson (MO) Cemetery.
