She married firstly Edmund Eastman, and secondly Captain Richard Bartlett, who was a husbandman, a miller, and a cordwainer (shoemaker). The New England Historical and Genealogical Register has her as having been taken captive by American Indians with Mrs. Dunston in 1697, although this is only listed by some sources. Previously in 1689, her father Nathaniel had been shot and killed by American Indians while working in the fields with his son John, who later managed to escape.
