He was admitted to Dorchester church in 1674, and was in King Phillip's War a year or so later.  He was a wheelwright by trade, and a constable in 1678 and 1705.

He was in King Phillip's war under Capt. Henchman. The war lasted from June 1675 until August of 1676. It is also sometimes called the "First Indian War" or "Metacom's Rebellion."
