Origin of Higbee, Missouri
Joseph Higbee was a soldier of the Revolution, and from Kentucky moved to Missouri, and found an early home in Randolph County. A church was built on his land, and when the railroad was constructed Higbee Chruch also became a location for a station, and the village has since been Higbee.
