She was most likely the daughter of Walter Kerr, considering that her will inventory was done by William Kerr, who would have been her brother, and she named one of her sons Walter.  In a family bible, her birth is listed above her Barclay children with her name as "Margaret Kerr", and includes the birth dates of daughters Mary and Martha Brown.
