Lynde.  Deacon Thomas Lynde, of Charlestown, "master," was born in January, 1593-4.  He came to this country and settled at Charles town, where his name appears among the inhabitants in 1634.  He was admitted freeman, March 4, 1634-5; was 8 years deputy to the General Court, the first time in 1636, the last time in 1653;  he was also one of the selectmen 14 years, and was constantly connected with town business, and was deacon of the church several years.  (See also Frothingham's...
