Wedding of Jack C. Lenser & Jean Anna Miller - Published in the Oil City Blizzard
Miss Jean Anna Miller and Jack C Lenser were united in marriage at 7 p.m. Saturday in Christ Episcopal church.
The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John G. Miller of 203 Reed St., and Mr. Lenser's parents are Mr. and Mrs. H. F. Lenser of 124 East Seventh St.
Bouquets of snapdragons and stock provided the stetting for the exchange of vows. Rev. Thomas H. Small, rector, officiated at the double ring service.
A prelude of appropriate wedding music was presented by Mrs. William Dawson, church organist.
A white ballerina frock of imported lace was worn by the bride who was escorted to the altar by her father. Her chapel veil depended from a braided crown adorned with pearlized orange blossoms and she carried a Bible with a white orchid marker and streamers.
Miss Lois Lenser, sister of the bridegroom, was the honor attendant for the bride. She wore a pale green organdy frock of ballerina length with matching Juliet cap trimmed with aged pearls. She carried a cascade of yellow rosebuds ivy.
Jack Miller, twin brother of the bride, now stationed with the naval air corps at (?) River, Md., served as best man for the bridegroom.
The ushers were George Friedhaber, Jr., of this city and Jack Filson of Kent, O.
The young couple received their guests at a reception which followed in the parish house of the church.
Aiden were Mrs. George Friedhaber and Mrs. James Ziegler, both of this city, Mrs. Irwin Wurst of Eric and Miss Dorothy Kerr of Buffalo, N. Y.
The refreshment table was centered with a tiered cake, crested by wedding bells which were used on the 50th anniversary of Mr. and Mrs. Clinger, grandparents of the bridegroom.
For her wedding trip, Mrs. Lenser chose a navy blue dress with matching accessories and her wedding orchid.
Guests were present from L(?)lrobem, Erie, Beaver, Fuxburg, State Colleg, New York City, Kent, O Buffalo, N. Y., Fort Bragg, N.C.
Both Mr. and Mrs. Lenser graduated from Oil City high school. The bride is employed as a medical secretary in Erie. Mr. Lenser also attended General Motors Institute of Technology, Flint, Michi., and is now station with the U.S. army at Fort Tutten, N.Y.
