Phyllis MacGillivray, 85, died of a stroke Nov. 18 after battling diabetes for 30 years.
Phyllis was born May 26, 1924, in St. Petersburg, Penn., to John Guy Miller and Cecilia Mary (Hall) Miller. Her childhood and young adult years were spent in Pennsylvania.
She ventured west to Seattle with a girlfriend, where she met and later became engaged to the love of her life, Robert MacGillivray. The couple married in Oil City, Penn., on May 7, 1949.
